Red Sea ReefDose Deluxe Tub Kit Review

4/15/2022 - Since its inception over 25 years ago, Red Sea’s vision has been to create a world in which marine and reef aquariums are the aquariums of choice for all hobbyists. This passion has guided this company throughout its product development and design and will continue for year to come. Red Sea’s passion created the ReefDose Deluxe 4 color tube kit to compliment it’s line of ReefDose pumps. So lets get into the specs and see what’s included in the box.

• Air resistant TPE colored tubing
• 40’ of tubing (4 colors @ 10’ each)
• Tube holder with 4 quick connect tips (Barbs)
• 3 Snap open tube organizers with double sided tape

First impressions - packaging: The Red Sea ReefDose Tube Kit came in a thick black glossy box with detailed information about the tubing kit in several different languages. The information on the box was informative and gave me enough information to make a good buying decision.

Inside, the box is divided into 5 different areas, 4 for holding the tubes in place and the other for the accessories. All dividers are cardboard but lined with a soft touch finish to help protect everything inside the box.

First impressions - What’s Included in the Box: The ReefDose Deluxe 4 color tube kit includes everything required to connect a dosing pump in one convenient kit. Available in 2 color versions, providing 8 unique colors for easily identifying a full range of supplements.

First impressions - Product Quality: The Tube holder is made of a hard molded black plastic and seems to be very durable. The 4 included quick connect tube barbs (Red) connect firmly into the tube holder and can be easily disconnected if needed. The tube holder has an adjustable clamp to fit most size aquarium glass. The 4 tube barbs (Red) connect firmly into each tube which provides a good seal.

The tubing is an air resistant TPE tube (Thermoplastic Elastomer) and used in most high demand industries including hospitals. While it mimics the flexibility of rubber, TPE tubing are heat and chemical resistant which makes it more stable when exposed to a broad range of temperatures and other materials. Very soft to the touch and flexible but won’t kink easily. Again, Red Sea decided to make there tubing from a high-grade material instead of latex, nice job Red Sea.

The tube organizers are made of a hard black plastic which hold 4 tubes in place for better organization. The kit includes double sided tape to hold the organizes inside your aquarium cabinet but wished it included screws for mount. Not sure why they weren’t included In the kit?

Overall, product quality seems to be very good with no noticeable defects in workmanship and everything seems to go together very well with high quality parts.

Conclusion: Overall I’m very satisfied with the quality and how everything fits together. Would recommend this tube kit to anybody that’s in the market for an aquarium dosing tube kit. If there is a downside to this kit is that it didn’t include mounting screws for the tube organizers. I do love the kit and would buy again if needed.
